HopShip / ParcelPool connects people who need to send a parcel with travellers who have spare capacity on a compatible existing journey. Senders describe the item and route. Travellers decide whether the timing, transport mode and package fit.
You can be a sender on one trip and a traveller on another. A parcel match does not turn every journey into a delivery service.
02For senders+
Choose the pickup and destination, enter the date or time window and describe the contents. Add packed weight, dimensions and recipient details before considering a traveller.
- Describe the actual item, not just “a parcel”.
- Confirm collection and recipient availability.
- Complete the handoff steps only when the exchange happens.
03For travellers+
Publish the journey you are already planning. State the spare capacity you can offer and which parcels you are willing and able to carry. Inspect the disclosed contents and packaging before accepting responsibility.
Do not accept an unknown package, an item prohibited by your carrier or a collection that creates an unagreed detour.
04What can I send?+
Examples to assess include books, clothing and ordinary household items that are appropriately packed. Electronics, fragile goods and any transport-restricted items need additional checks. The parcel guide explains what to discuss before matching.
05Availability+
This is a planning experience, not a live inventory of travellers or listings. A page for this location does not confirm service coverage, a fare or a delivery time. Real availability depends on the app’s launch status and a compatible journey.
