Make the listing specific
State mount compatibility, focal length and any haze or fungus. Use plain descriptions rather than “perfect” or “like new” when wear is visible. A buyer should be able to understand exactly what is included.
Show what a buyer would inspect
Inspect front and rear elements, focus movement, mount and aperture operation. Photograph the relevant areas and disclose faults before agreeing a price. Explain any function you have not checked without implying that it works.
Plan the handoff before accepting collection
Fit both caps, protect the barrel and immobilise it in cushioning. Decide who supplies the packaging and give the collector the final measurements. Confirm when the item will be ready so the traveller is not waiting for packing.
Keep the handoff clear
